Do you let your kid sag their pants?
I mean if you have a middle schooler or high schooler. Sometimes you don’t have much of a choice with wee ones.
That “Pants of the Ground” song from American Idol that went viral made me think about this. Your own eccentric taste in fashion aside, how could you really let your kid walk around showing his underwear and dragging his pants? I should not see a 15 year old boys undies. I rather see a green mohawk.
I have a middle school aged son. I don’t let him sag. He’s more into the skinny jean look, which I don’t especially like, but isn’t worth the battle. I pick my clothing battles. My teenaged daughter can’t show midriff or excessive cleavage. If they want to wear some outfits I just find weird, but not offensive, I let it go.
One last thing. Three year old boys with no butt whose jeans sag, who cares!! They’re preschoolers. Teen-aged thugs, totally different story.
